ACI, a manufactures sales rep for
mechanical and HVAC products is seeking an Estimator.
The Estimator position requires
reviewing plans, specifications, and schedules, submitting substitutions
requests, then stripping the plans leading to a quote to be sent out on the bid
day. The work requires constant involvement with sales people, existing
customers, management personnel, and includes software integration.
Key Responsibilities and
Accountabilities:
Ÿ Communication: ACI
Seattle has an open cubical environment where communication is critical between
the estimating department, sales staff, and customers.
Ÿ Planning/Organizing: Must be able to prioritize upcoming jobs to
be bid and meet deadlines. Time
management is critical.
Ÿ Project Management: Perform bid follow
up. Contact engineering firms for product approvals prior to bidding.
An
ideal candidate must posses the following traits:
Ÿ 4+ years estimating
experience in the mechanical and HVAC field.
Ÿ Preferably specialty
experience with GRD’s, Fans, Dampers, AHU’s, etc.
Ÿ Out going personality
with excellent communication skills.
Ÿ Detail oriented with
a technical background in accounting or construction management.
Ÿ Energetic, positive
attitude with a fresh approach.
Ÿ Computer literate and
adaptable to new software programs.
Ÿ
Ability
to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
